During practice, Barrow learned the butterfly, freestyle, breast and backstroke.  His favorite was the backstroke.  The team competed against other swim teams in the area.
Barrow, Caroline and Cate joined the Aggie Outlaws swim team at NMSU.

Pack 5 Cub Scouts camped in Cloudcroft. They hiked the OSHA trail, toured Sunspot, and visited the trestle trail.  They even had some bears visit their campsite while they were asleep!
We were going to be on our cruise during Father's Day, so we celebrated a little early.
Caroline attended the Dance Theater Southwest Summer Intensive.  When we took her to Albuquerque, we spend the afternoon at Explora...what fun!

The morning we left, smoke filled the valley from the fire close by.
We enjoyed spending the afternoon in the Gila hot springs!
The kids build a special pool for the tadpoles they found in the river.
Good Morning!
Since the hiking trails were closed, we spent a lot of time playing in the Gila River.
While we were able to hike the Cliff Dwellings, the rest of the Gila National Forest was closed.  There was a large fire, 14 miles away. We could see the smoke from our campsite.  After we left, the fire merged with another fire, to become the largest fire in the state of New Mexico.
Barrow requested "Women and children first!" as we excited the Gila Cliff Dwellings.
Memorial Day weekend, we met the Binkley and Pollard families at the Gila National Forest for a weekend of camping.
